BIMI TXT
v=BIMI1; l=https://example.com/logo.svg; a=

Add this as a TXT record named default._bimi. BIMI only takes effect once your domain enforces DMARC at quarantine or reject.

How it works

  1. 1

    Add your logo URL

Paste the HTTPS URL of your brand logo in SVG Tiny PS format into the logo (l) field.

  2. 2

Add a VMC if you have one

If you hold a Verified Mark Certificate, add its HTTPS URL in the a field. Many inboxes require it before showing the logo.

  3. 3

    Publish the record

Copy the value and add it as a TXT record named default._bimi on your domain.

Instant & 100% private — nothing is uploaded

Everything runs locally in your browser. Your code, text and files are processed on your own device and are never sent to a server — so there are no upload waits, no size limits from us, and nothing is ever stored or logged.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need before BIMI will work?
BIMI only takes effect once your domain authenticates mail and enforces DMARC at quarantine or reject. SPF and DKIM must pass, and the From domain must align. Without an enforced DMARC policy, inboxes ignore the BIMI record, so set that up first.
Do I need a VMC certificate?
It depends on the mailbox provider. Some, including major ones, will only show your logo if you supply a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC), which proves you own the trademarked logo. Others display a logo from the l tag alone. Adding the a tag with your VMC gives the widest coverage.
What format does the logo have to be?
The logo must be an SVG in the SVG Tiny Portable/Secure (SVG Tiny PS) profile, square, with a solid background, and hosted over HTTPS. Ordinary SVGs exported from design tools usually need to be converted to this restricted profile before they will pass.
Where is this record published?
It is a TXT record at the host default._bimi on your domain, so the full name is default._bimi.example.com. The record is assembled in your browser from the URLs you enter, with nothing uploaded.
